Welcome to Plumfield Children's Bookstore - thank you for visiting! I'm Season Bos, the owner, and it is my pleasure to curate this collection of wholesome children's books for you to choose from. My husband and I are native New Englanders, transplanted to North Carolina in 2017. We homeschooled our three daughters for nine years, and I had the privilege of teaching each of them to read when they were young; I'm happy to report that they have all grown into a great love for good books.
An avid reader myself, I spent over ten years working in several libraries and bookstores - big and small, online and brick-and-mortar, Christian and secular. A love for children's literature led me to create Plumfield Children's Bookstore.
Our name comes from Louisa May Alcott's Little Men, the second sequel to Little Women, in which writer Jo March and her professor husband turn a sprawling old house called Plumfield into a school. There they nurture their students and see them through a variety of misadventures, most often at the same time.
My focus has always been on recommending quality children's literature which promotes character development while engaging the reader; it is my goal to provide just such a collection for our guests here at Plumfield Children's Bookstore.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
